And a jolly good morning to all! Kicking things off headline-wise this weekend, there was a fatal stabbing late Saturday night/early Sunday at Cesar Chavez and Folsom. Police are looking for witnesses, as well as four or five men suspected in the stabbing of 33-year-old German Fernandez of Daly City. Any possible witnesses to the fight that broke out around 12:30 a.m. are being asked to call the anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444.

Hatim Mansori, the young boy who was stabbed on Muni last week is now in good condition, but is still unable to keep solid foods down. He's also afraid to leave the hospital because his assailant is still on the loose, much in part thanks to Muni's surveillance cameras being broken at the time.
SUNDAY / FILLMORE: Two peole are expected to survive a drive-by shooting in the Fillmore district. According to CBS 5, "One person was shot in the thigh and another in the ankle near Eddy and Laguna streets around 8:30 p.m." One suspect, much to our surprise, was arrested. But police are not sure if said detainee is a suspect. Or something like that.
Well, this is mighty grim news. It seems an unidentified man was found stabbed to death in the parking lot of Kezar Stadium at the edge in Golden Gate Park this morning, just at the edge of Stanyan Street. The fuzz doesn't yet know how long the body has been there, when he died. So, there you have it.
The North Bay had a characteristically macabre Monday night. Last night at a little before 8:30 p.m., a woman was walking near Water Street near the Petaluma River when a sketchy man approached her from behind, then robbed and stabbed her in the face. Ouch. According to CBS 5, "[t]he suspect is a heavyset white male adult, about 50 years old and clean-shaven with dark hair. He was wearing a plaid shirt and blue jeans ... Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Petaluma police at 707-778-4372."
Ever had a lawn seat at a concert where everyone around you got super aggressive about protecting their blanket real estate? Well, consider yourself lucky that you weren't at KISS FM's Old School Fiesta at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View on Saturday night, where fights broke out on the lawn just an hour after the gates opened, and continued on through the night until six people had to be treated for stab wounds and the band War had to end their set early, at 10:15 p.m. because the scene was just too chaotic. Cops showed up in riot gear, the works. We're not sure what this says about fans of War... er, yes we are.
And now, for a dramatic morning dose of the macabre, we present too you a story about a man accused of attacking a colleague with a meat cleaver in Palo Alto. Happening at "fine Shanghai cuisine" restaurant Jade Palace on California Avenue a little after 7 p.m. last night, the fuzz "found an Asian man in his late 40s or early 50s in the kitchen area with three to four stab wounds to the face and torso from a cleaver," after reporting to the scene. According to Mercury News, the victim was simply drenched in blood. "It was all over the place. It was all over his back," said Richard Reyes, owners of nearby business. "You could see some of his muscles hanging out."
A 21-year-old man was killed outside the Daly City BART station last night. According to the Chron, the shooting, which happened around 7 p.m., occurred while two cars were stopped in traffic i"n the center lane of westbound John Daly Blvd., between the entrance to the BART station and Junipero Serra Blvd. Police said it appears the victims were shot for no reason." No arrests have been made. Then, two hours later outside everybody's favorite BART station, a fatal stabbing happened near the Fruitvale station after an "altercation." According to KCBS, "Two people are being interviewed by BART police about the fight."
TENDERLOIN / WEDNESDAY: A man was stabbed to death in the TL last night. At around 5:30 p.m. an unidentified man, according to the police, "the victim walked into a hotel in the 100 block of Jones Street at about 5:30 p.m. stating he had been stabbed." The victim was then whisked away to SF General where he was later pronounced dead.
After getting into a heated argument on a MUNI bus, two 19-year-old college students were stabbed after exiting the bus. The two boys, according to reports, were injured at Sixth Avenue and Geary Boulevard in the Richmond. The incident happened a little after 1 p.m., presumably after riding the 38-Geary. Both guys are at SF General Hospital being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests, as you've already guessed, have been made.
Visiting the Bay Area to attend the Standford-USC football game, Kellen Spani, a senior majoring in business administration and Pi Kappa Alpha brethren, was stabbed outside PlumpJack Balboa Bar in the Marina early Saturday morning. Spani, it seems, was coming to the aid of a friend when he took a blade to the gut. He is expected to live and be back at school after Thanksgiving. The two suspects involved in the stabbing, however, have been booked on charges of attempted murder, each facing felony charges.
Early this morning a teenage boy was stabbed to death in San Francisco's Excelsior district. The murder victim was strolling with a girl at around 1:30 a.m. "when they were confronted by four teenage boys at Lisbon Street and Persia Avenue," according to the Gate. The assailants demanded money from the girl, pushed her away, and stabbed the unidentified male. He later died at San Francisco General Hospital. No descriptions of the hooligans are available. And, of course, no arrests have been made.
SUNDAY, POTRERO HILL: Someone was the unlucky recipient of life-threatening gunshot wounds over in the Potrero Hill district. It's happened over on the 100 block of Connecticut Street. No arrests have been made. (CBS 5, via SF Crime)
Three people suffered "non-life-threatening" wounds after Duwayne Hyman, 25, went loopy on Monday, stabbing three strangers in downtown San Francisco. According to KTVU, the first attack happened at the Montgomery Street Station. A 17-year-old lad, it seems, was sliced on his left side. Ugh. Then, a couple of hours later, Hyman plunged his knife into a 38-year-old man at Jessie and First streets, and once more into the thigh of a 40-year-old guy back at Montgomery Street.
Last night at Mission and 20th Streets, two people were stabbed and one was shot in the back WITH A BB GUN at around 6:15 p.m. At this time the condition of the victims isn't known. Dennis the Menace, or whoever else committed this brazen assault, is still on the at-large.
- SF Crime reports (via CBS 5) that a 39 year-old man was shot and killed on Friday night in Hunters Point at Hudson Avenue and Cashmere Street. So far: no suspects, no arrests.
- As we already mentioned, girls had gone wild during a San Jose Jack In the Box robbery.
- Early Thursday morning, a man walking on Battery Street in the Financial District was stabbed in his left arm. The victim, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, "didn't know what happened during the stabbing." Once again: no suspects, no arrests.
