$10,000 Reward For Missing Fremont Boy

On Monday, the Oakland police department and Crime Stoppers offered up $10,000 for information leading to the return of five-year-old Hassani Campbell, the 5-year-old boy with cerebral palsy who went missing a week ago. If you recall, Hussani vanished from the parking lot of the Shuz of Rockridge shoe store at around 4:!5 p.m. last Monday. According to reports, "Oakland police spokesman Jeff Thomason said that police have only received about 50 tips, which he said is unusually low for a week-old missing child case." And, really this is a good chunk of change. So, if you know the whereabouts or any information on Hussani, who usually wears leg braces and arch supports on his feet, call the Oakland Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572 or 510-777-3211.

Woman Pays $10,000 Reward for Stolen Dog

Debby Brown's "Chorkie" (Chihuahua/Yorkie mix) named Lexi was stolen from Brown's locked car (with the A/C running) in Concord on Friday night, while Brown and her boyfriend went into a restaurant for take-out food. After Brown posted $10,000 reward posters all over the Concord area and on Craigslist, the dog-nappers agreed to meet with Brown in a Petco parking lot (of all places) on Monday morning. Lexi was safely handed over to Brown's boyfriend, who had persuaded Brown to stay home. Brown forked over the cash and has stuck to her promise not to prosecute or give any information to the police. Police say there has been a rash of car break-ins in the area, and that Brown's information could possibly have lead to an arrest. Now that's some dedicated pet ownership.

Members of the community (i.e., Mitchell Engineering, Michael Byrne, Platinum Advisors, Webcor Construction Company, Boston Properties, California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco Fire Commissioners, PG&E, and American Airporter Shuttle) have donated more money thus increasing the reward from $25,000 to $75,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) who set fire to a two-story Portola apartment building. The Feb. 6 blaze, if you recall, injured several SF firefighters. Any info should be directed to the Arson Task Force at 415-575-4444.

$25K Reward for Portola Arson Info

Authorities are offering a $25,000 reward for info leading to the arrest of the person(s) who set fire to a two-story Portola apartment building. The fire injured six firefighters, with two sent to the hospital, on Feb. 6. Former SF Mayor Willie Brown verbally ripped the chaps who did this a new hole today at a press conference today. "We have to find the culprit," Brown vented. "San Francisco's finest has been threatened." But the good news in all this is that if any of you know the culprits, call the Arson Task Force's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444. (Of course, to collect, you might want to give them your name.)

Wow. Mayor Gavin Newsom is offering a whopping $250,000 bounty for the head of the person(s) who shot and killed Terrell Rogers in January. If you recall, Rogers, a father and anti-violence activist, was murdered just across the street from Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, during his daughter's basketball game.

Even if a tip doesn't lead to the conviction of a murder suspect, the Richmond Police Department just started offering $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of homicide suspects. While cash-for-information leading to a conviction can take up to several years, or in some cases a decade or more, to receive, now witnesses will be able to claim their reward "even if it doesn't lead to a conviction," according to Richmond Police Lt. Mark Gagan.
