We brought this up briefly yesterday, but we thought it best to touch on it again. Salvador Rodriguez, 21, who was initially charged with the brutal rape and beating of the Richmond High School student wants to clear his name. He's come out to the media to talk about what he saw happen that night. And the details are pretty graphic.

ABC 7 News spoke to one anonymous witness who says he watched, for twenty minutes, the gang rape of a 16-year-old girl at a homecoming dance two weeks ago -- he says he was too scared to call for help or say anything because of who several of the perpetrators were. They also spoke to Salvador Rodriguez, who was held, questioned, and released in the case and who claims he tried to help the naked victim after the incident was over, and covered her up with her t-shirt.

Yesterday, Richmond police released a recording of the 911 call made on October 24 by 16-year-old Margarita Vargas, who reported the now infamous Richmond High School gang rape.

     

Yesterday, somewhere around 500 students, faculty, and community members showed up at a vigil at Richmond High School, where a 15-year-old girl was beaten and gang raped over over a grueling two-and-a-half-hour ordeal on October 24 during a homecoming dance.

A seventh arrest was made in the gang rape of a Richmond High School girl. A total of 10 men, police allege, beat and raped the girl outside her homecoming dance. Held on a $1.2 million arrest warrant, the unidentified 21-year-old allegedly played a significant role in the brutal attack.

Brace yourselves. This one is hard to watch. Mainly because they're so young. Because they shouldn't have to be doing this. However, we cannot commend high school student Kami Baker (friend of the 15-year-old gang rape victim/survivor) enough for blasting Richmond school officials for lack of safety, lack of forethought, and lack of above average job skills.

Three teenagers allegedly involved in the Richmond High School homecoming dance gang rape -- where a 15-year-old girl was beaten and raped on school grounds for at least two and a half hours, due in part to the school's lack of security -- could, hopefully, spend the rest of their lives in prison. According to KTVU, they will be "charged as adults with an enhanced rape count."

Three more men were arrested in connection with the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl outside a Richmond High School homecoming dance. The latest arrests, according to CBS 5, include a 21-year-old man and two teens, 16 and 17. Their names have yet to be released.

After a 15-year-old girl was gang raped for an estimated two hours by at least 10 men, with an estimated two dozen people egging it on, on the school grounds at Richmond High, West Contra Costa Unified School District spokesman Marin Trujillo had this to say:

After being beaten and allegedly raped by several men on the Richmond High School grounds after a homecoming dance, a 15-year-old girl remains hospitalized this morning. The incident happened on Saturday night. According to reports:

Alex Thomas Owen, 41, was arrested on Saturday for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 21-year-old foreign exchange student. According to Appeal/BCN, "the woman was sightseeing on Treasure Island early that morning when Alex Thomas Owen, 41, offered her a ride." Owen then allegedly took her to the Twin Peaks neighborhood in his 1993 Lincoln Town Car and asked her to have sex with him. When the woman refused his sexual advances -- because who wouldn't want to screw some butt-ugly 41-year-old pig driving a '90s Lincoln? -- he struck and sexually assaulted. Luckily, she managed to escape and call police. Owens was later arrested at his Ashbury Heights home. Also, according to the California's Megan's Law site, he was "previously convicted of lewd acts with a child under age 14."

Oh wow. This story just gets better and better. Jaycee Lee Dugard's alleged kidnapper's brother, Ron Garrido, just spoke to The Chronicle about his deviant brother, Phillip. "It just seems so bizarre, but I can believe it," said the 65-year-old Brentwood resident. "I know my brother, and I can believe he did that. ... He's a fruitcake." (Can we have a moment to talk about the derogatory use of the word fruitcake? It's awesome in that it covers so many bases. Well said, Ron.) Phillip also dabbled in LSD and drug dealing before being run out of town by angry drug dealers. Also, he kidnapped and raped a woman in Reno in the 1970s, hence his Megan's Law profile. Regarding his sister-in-law, Nancy Garrido, who assisted in the kidnapping and rapes, Ron says, she "was 'a robot' under her husband's control." He went on to say that Nancy "would do anything he asked her to" and that she was "no different from Manson and those girls." Read The Chron's entire interview with Phillip Garrido's brother here.

Marvin Grant (Bigg Marv), MC Hammer's cousin, was arrested late afternoon on Thursday after a manhunt. The reality TV supporting player is accused of raping a woman he met via Twitter in Livermore. According to CBS 5's Joe Vasquez, "The woman, who is from Los Angeles, arranged to meet [Tuesday] night at a hotel in Livermore after Grant returned from a shoot in Las Vegas." The victim, after declining his advances post-suppertime, was allegedly attacked by Grant. At a press conference, Lt. Matt Sarsfield of the Livermore Police Department said, "He's about 300 pounds, and was able to pin her down and keep one of her arms down while he sexually assaulted her." MC Hammer's camp has since bailed him out of jail.

Yesterday. after two Oakland officers confronted a man on the 1400 block of 16th Avenue a little after 3 p.m., "the suspect pulled out a handgun and started firing at the officers." Which was stupid. Because then, to no one's surprise, the cops shot the man dead. As it turned out, the unidentified 36-year-old dead man also matched the description of a rape suspect. (This, of course, brings to mind suspected rapist Lovelle Mixon, who killed four OPD officers last March before being blown to bits himself.) goes on to report that the OPD officers "were placed on paid administrative leave, which is standard practice" after an officer-involved shooting death.

Jose Rosas, 56, a general practitioner, was found guilty yesterday of sexually assaulting three patients inside his Mission District office. The violations occurred from 2002 to 2007. Caring for mainly Spanish-speaking patients, Rosas, attempting to help women with head or back pain, told the women "a pelvic exam was necessary to diagnose their conditions and 'conducted the vaginal exams in an inappropriate and unprofessional manner by digitally penetrating the victim patients for prolonged periods of time.'" Scheduled for sentencing on July 21, Rosas could face probation to 18 years in the clink. His medical license, of course, has since been suspended.

Lovelle Mixon, the Oakland cop killer who fatally shot four Oakland police officers and was, thankfully, brutally killed himself, also raped two women the day before he died, according to DNA evidence released on Monday. In addition to raping a 12-year-old girl in February, the former piece of human waste robbed and raped two women at gunpoint. The victims, according to SF Chronicle, were attacked by Mixon a little before 6 a.m. on March 21 "as they set up a cart from which they sold food to day laborers at High Street and International Boulevard."" Lovelle pulled a handgun on the women, ages 21 and 23, robbed them and forced them a to walk to 45th Avenue and San Leandro Street, where he raped them. This newest bit of info on Mixon, however, does little to comfort those affected by his unfortunate existence. Sgt. Dom Arotzarena, president of the Oakland Police Officers Association, said, "It doesn't change what happened. All it says is, to his supporters -- this is who you're supporting. Congratulations for supporting a monster. It doesn't really matter, though, because in the end, it doesn't bring the guys back."

Ryan Caskey, the University of San Francisco ROTC cadet accused of raping at least four other USF students on campus, was scheduled to appear in court this morning. Caskey plead 'not guilty' to four counts of rape and "four counts of assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury."

Rape, murder, kidnapping, drugging, Ogilvie home perm disasters -- is there any crime Melissa Huckaby won't commit? Well, now we might be able to add 'arson' to her ever-growing list of felonies. The woman charged with killing and raping 8-year-old Sandra Cantu "has been questioned in connection with two arson fires in Orange County," according to CBS 5. While never convicted, Huckaby was a "person of interest" in two fires that broke out eight days from each other at a home where she rented a room in 2007. The damage to the charred house cost around $90,000. Huckaby remains in jail on murder and rape charges. She is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.

Melissa Huckaby, the woman accused of killing Sandra Cantu, was officially charged with murder and rape today. And good news, crazy death penalty zealots: After adding three special circumstances to the charges, Huckaby is now eligible for the needle. The San Joaquin County district attorney's office, according to SF Chronicle, alleges that "the killing was committed during a kidnapping, involved a lewd or lascivious act on a child, and involved rape with a foreign object."

Some man allegedly assaulted a 48-year-old San Rafael woman last Friday in a Safeway parking lot, according to CBS 5. It seems "the woman had been loading groceries in the back seat of her car when a man who appeared to be in his late 20s or early 30s approached her from behind, placed his hands around her waist and began thrusting his pelvis against her buttocks." Ew. Then, after the woman screamed, he took off. The creep is described as a "white male standing at 5 feet and 10 inches, between 170 and 180 pounds with brown medium-length hair and a thin beard along his jaw line." So, be on the look out for dude with a douchestrap.

Lovelle Mixon, the Oakland resident who died last Saturday after murdering four Oakland police officers, is being hailed as a hero by some. But certainly not by the woman he (allegedly) raped prior to his timely death. According to Associated Press, Mixon was tied to a February rape. "DNA found at the scene of the rape was a probable match to Lovelle Mixon, Oakland police spokesman Jeff Thomason said Monday night." (Cue conspiracy theories!) In related news, the fourth Oakland officer shot by Mixon, 41-year-old John Hege, was finally taken off of support. He had been brain dead since last Saturday's shooting spree.

A teen is suing the San Francisco Unified School District "who says two schoolmates 'sodomized' him with an umbrella handle at an after-school program." The incidents occurred in 2007 within three days of each other. According to the lurid Chronicle report the alleged sexual assaults happened "while the 13-year-old boy was wearing pants, but was violent enough that the umbrella handle broke off during the second attack." The lawsuit, which is asking for $25,000, was filed against the SFUSD, the bullies, and Aspiranet, who operate the Sunset Neighborhood Beacon Center.

Ryan Caskey, 21, a politics major and cadet in the Reserve Officers' Training Corps program at University of San Francisco, stands accused of raping four students over the last few months.

An unidentified male USF student was arrested Thursday night on suspicion of rape and aggravated assault of four female students, in separate incidents. Each attack allegedly occurred on USF campus residence halls.

Humberto Salvador, 31, Josue Gonzalez, 21 (at right), Darrell Hodges, 16, and an unidentified 15-year-old piece of prison meat all pleaded 'not guilty' in the vicious gang rape of a Richmond lesbian. The four are accused of kidnapping to commit a sex crime and a series of forcible rape, forcible sodomy and forcible oral copulation charges while acting in concert, according to reports. The 45-minute assault started when the victim got out of her car, which was adorned with a rainbow flag sticker. She was beaten, raped, taken to a second location, and left naked by the train tracks. Three of the suspects are scheduled to go back to court on March 5.

The alleged human beings who assaulted, kidnapped, and raped a random Richmond lesbian were arraigned in Contra Costa Superior Court this week. Josue Gonzalez, 21, and Humberto Hernandez Salvador, 31, appeared in court without entering pleas. A 16-year-old suspect from Hercules was arraigned on Monday and will rightfully be tried as an adult; however, the fourth assumed assailant, a 15-year-old boy from Richmond, will, sadly, be tried as a minor.

Four arrests were made this week after the brutal gang rape of a 28-year-old Richmond lesbian. Josue Gonzalez, 21, the pig at right, was arrested yesterday on a warrant for gang rape, kidnapping for a sex crime, and carjacking. Humberto Hernandez Salvador, 31, and two other teens (the 15- and 16-year-old creeps who went by "Paco" and "Blue) were arrested on Wednesday night for their involvement in last week's vicious hate crime.

After being taunted for being a lesbian, a woman in the city of Richmond was "repeatedly raped and left naked outside an abandoned apartment building" by four strangers on December 13.
