While it won't make everything right with the world, this short video of two planes landing simultaneously at SFO is pretty cool. And it might, just for a few seconds, provide you with a brief moment of respite from the soul-crushing news of this week.

The video, shot by a passenger and published to YouTube yesterday, has already been viewed over 100,000 times.

In it you can see a United jet slowly descend over the Bay and gently land on an SFO runway — almost exactly in time with the plane the person filming is sitting in. Strangely, no one on board applauds, but that's OK — we still know it's rad.

After a jarring lack of fuel, a (scary!) small plane had to make an emergency landing this morning on a San Jose expressway while heading to the Reid-Hillvew airport.

NBC Bay Area reports: "The San Jose Fire Department said the aircraft landed safely about 8 a.m. on Capitol Expressway between Quimby Road and Tully Avenue, east of of U.S. Highway 101."

No injuries were reported.

An United Airlines plane headed for San Francisco Airport was evacuated in Denver after authorities got wind of a bomb threat. Yikes! "Carrie Harmon of the Transportation Security Administration, according to Associated Press, said "someone phoned in a bomb threat at about 7:30 a.m. on Thursday" and that "passengers, cargo and baggage were removed for re-screening."

The United Airlines flight, No. 869, was rescheduled and is expected to land at SFO at around 11:19 a.m.

Today's bomb threat comes on the heels of another threat that, on February 24, shut down an entire terminal. The threat in the that case? An elderly woman's oxygen tank TSA mistook for a bomb.

A United Airlines flight from SFO to Frankfurt, Germany needed to make an emergency stop in Chicago on Sunday. It seems that a crew member discovered a "sticker with a threatening message in a bathroom," so the plane was diverted as a precaution. After the plane was emptied and searched, wherein nothing dangerous uncovered, the flight then continued on to Germany.

No word yet as to what the menacing sticker said.

A small prop plane bound for Bakersfield, a Cessna 182 to be exact, crashed shortly after takeoff from Napa County Airport this morning at around 4:30 a.m. The pilot, who was the only person aboard, was killed. That is all.

A Northwest flight going from San Francisco to Tokyo had to turn back to SFO yesterday afternoon after one of its engines stalled. Yikes. "The A330 Airbus took off from SFO around 1:30, but soon had problems with one of its two engines and was forced to turn around," reports KCBS. Thankfully, no one was injured. This comes on the heels of the Air France crash's black boxes being deemed unretrievable by U.S. Air Force authorities. (Aside: if black box recordings interest you, pick up a copy of .
