  • Supervisor Michela Alioto-Pier sues City Hall over wheelchair ramplessness. [Curbed]
  • Beth Spotswoodle [sic] hits up SFO's gay night. [SFGate]
  • Valleywag 's happy hour watering hole, Moose's, comes to an end. Might we suggest the St. Regis or Ginger's Trois as a replacement? No? Okay. [Valleywag]

Aaron, what's going on? Things okay at home? You can tell us, man. Because:

We thought that this issue was neatly swept under the rug. What gives? Is the neighborhood patrol still kicking it in the Western Addition? Well, time to come home, fuzz. It looks like someone in the Marina/Cow Hollow vicinity was recently attacked, and SFist won't rest until San Francisco is a solid police state.

It's the latest in the Tsk Tsk Supervisorial codes of conduct battle front!

The Blue Angels get to stay. Vroom. Woosh.

Well, at least he lives in the Richmond, right? (Some) affordable housing advocates and ethicists are shaking their heads over District 1 Supervisor Jake McGoldrick's poor party timing this week.

Oh, Michela Alioto-Pier! Our favorite absentee supervisor finally straggled on in to an actual committee meeting, only to find out that the code of conduct she's proposing for the supervisors has loopholes big enough for a Mack truck to drive though.

Happening "primarily on Chestnut Street [with a some attacks happening] near Fillmore and Greenwich, two to three [persons] dressed in all black wearing Halloween skeleton masks" and brandishing guns, it seems, committed at least 11 attacks on men and women over the past three weeks. Grabbed while walking on the sidewalk -- including one woman who was reportedly forced into her apartment -- the victims were all robbed of their personal belongings (i.e., backpacks, purses, phones, sunglasses, sense of security, etc.) during the violent encounters.

Confirming what we heard yesterday, quote-unquote "District 4" Supervisor Ed Jew, along with Michela Alioto-Pier and Jake McGoldrick, showed up for yesterday's committee hearing to find out who exactly took those 300 trash cans off the streets of San Francisco. (Turns out it was DPW, who just went ahead and did it without telling anyone first.)

Thanks to Sweet Melissa, watching the Board of Supes meeting today so we didn't have to (hey, did Michela Alioto-Pier clear her schedule out and make it in?), who reports the following from the public comment session:

Bueller? Bueller? Bueller? That's right, everyone's favorite supervisorial class-cutter, District 2's Michela Alioto-Pier, missed yet another committee meeting on Monday.

It's been awhile since we had some Ed Jew news! Lying low, huh?

We're already getting tired of this story. Can we please get back to the Ed Jew investigations? The only coverage we're enjoying is Bad Reporter's! (We're enjoying Bad Reporter's coverage very, very much, though. "No oxygen: He could die.") Here's the latest in Daly Fight 2007:

Nothing too new to report on the Ed Jew got arrested front this morning, but the Chron did survey all the other Board of Supervisor members for their reactions. Let's go in order!

Here's todays news

Ah, the Aliotos -- they run this town! Patriarch Joseph Alioto was the mayor of San Francisco from 1968-1976, in office not only during the building of the Transamerica Pyramid but also through the Zodiac murders -- while daughter Angela Alioto is a former Board of Supervisors president (and chicken-suit renter), while granddaughter Michela Alioto-Pier is a current Board of Supes member (and Hottest Supervisor emerita -- hm, maybe it's time for us to do another Hottest Supervisor poll!), and the rest of them are all lawyers.

Huzzah everyone, the Iraq War is over. Yesterday, the Board of Supervisors passed the resolution calling on congress to end the war. Like now. The measure passed by a 7-1 vote with cranky Ed Jew being the only dissenter. Even the usually hesitant Michela Alioto-Pier hopped on board the resolution saying that all things considering, it's a good time to take a stand.

First off. Alcoholism is a serious problem and we hope Gavin Newsom (.pdf) gets help and support.

More balletomania! We've read so much coverage of the 74th SF ballet opening night gala, we're starting to expect to see ourselves in these pictures!

Well, we're sorry to report that everyone's day jobs managed to succeed where Wade Crowfoot did not -- namely, in preventing anyone wearing a chicken suit from gaining access to the city's very first Question Time before the Board of Supes! What is democracy coming to?

You know those two big towers at the end of Van Ness & North Point? Well the people who live there have an earful of MUNI related issues to sound off about.

--Children meet cows.

SFist Jon's having computer woes, so we're covering all the rest of the races here too.

going on besides the District 6 race (except for you, commenter poormojo!). Well, David Kiddoo, the write-in candidate for District 2 (Pac Heights, the Marina) running against incumbent Michela Alioto-Pier, has graciously agreed to submit to an SFist interview and tell us what they're worrying about up there north of Market. Thanks, David!
