Tens of thousands of revelers flooded the Mission this weekend for the epic Carnaval Parade and Festival, which was themed "Live Your Fantasy" this year.

A few local photographers were on the scene and swiftly uploaded their shots to SFist's Flickr stream (tag them "sfist!"). Thanks, Photogs!

The San Francisco Arts Commission launched its Lights on Market Street project last night, featuring three site-specific installations by internationally-recognized light artists, Jim Campbell, Paul Notzold, and Theodore Watson.

The exhibit, which will be on view until June 2011, is part of SFAC's ArterySF project, which is a series of events, fairs, installations, and performances taking place along Market Street between UN Plaza and the Street.

Still trying to come up with a sexy costume for the big race, but going in the nude is so passé? As these trend-setters demonstrate, there's nothing sexier than adult diapers paired with baby bottles, bibs, and giant pacifiers.

Kudos to the Baby Breakers Flickr group and Creative Commons for giving us such gems all in one place. Here are a couple of the creepiest ones we found, which lucky for you, didn't have a license for re-use and were left out of the mix.

There was a huge turn-out at today's Rally for California's Future at Civic Center. The plaza was already half-full when we arrived around 4:30, and dozens of schools from elementary to college-level were well represented. Crowds of protesters were still heading toward the rally when we left at 5:30. The whole plaza was full to the brim at that point (as you can see from the photo we took from the fifth floor of the main library), and the crowd had spilled onto the library lawn.

A friend of SFist shot this photo of the two-alarm fire that took place yesterday afternoon on Bush Street between Mason and Powell. It was contained in one apartment (although it looks like a few other apartments might have seen some damage as well), and crews were able to put the fire out within fifteen minutes. No one was injured.
