Rich people. They're not like us. Take, for example, Anne Wojcicki, impending ex-wife of (dreamy) Google cofounder Sergey Brin. None too thrilled about seeing her husband leave her for a 26-year-old Google Glass marketing manager, the newest First Wives Club nominee had a helluva party the other night to celebrate her newfound singlehood.

But on Alcatraz, Anne Wojcicki, estranged wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, threw a party to celebrate "freedom," it said on the invitation. Perhaps this had to do with the August announcement that after six years of marriage the couple were living apart. It was said at the time that he was having an affair with Google Glass marketing manager Amanda Rosenberg. ("Sleeping her way to the top" was how one British newspaper described the Other Woman, but in light of accounts of her repeatedly texting him via Google Glass, this might be amended to "seeing her way to the top.")

Exclusive access to Alcatraz Island costs around $20,000. Around 100 people, Garchik goes on to report, attended the fete.

Brin and Wojcicki, both 40 with two kids, have been living apart for much of 2013. A spokesman for the couple told AllThingsD back in August, “[T]hey have been living apart for several months. They remain good friends and partners."

In empty-calorie celebrity news, noted father/crooner Kanye West was spotted gallivanting about town over the weekend. Was he here for the annual Living Sober conference? We should say not! But while he was here, he did visit a few notable locations with equally notable people. Let's begin...

On Saturday, Yeezy and Instagram cofounder Kevin Systrom checked out Park Tavern, younger sister of Marlow in SoMa). According to our sources, the duo dined on pancakes and discussed Instagram for most of the meal. (The artist, if you recall, is openly technophile.)

Later in the night, Kanye was off to Hayes Valley to check out Smuggler's Cove (voted best bar in San Francisco by SFist readers). Above: Mr. West, sporting a black hoodie, joins birthday boy horralltiki for an impromptu photo op.

And there you have it.

One thing we'll never tire of are real-life tales of working with Faye Dunaway. The most recent tidbit comes to us from Rutanya Ald, the actress who played Carol Ann in Mommie Dearest. Before Ald makes a cameo appearance at the Castro Theatre this Saturday for a special screening of the cult Joan Crawford biopic -- most notable for wire hangers, child abuse, uneaten meat, and a revelatory performance by Dunaway -- she talked to the Bay Area Reporter about what it was like working on the set with Faye.

Turns out it was a living hell.

"People despised Faye," she tells the BAR. "Joan got her way in a ladylike way. Faye was despised because she was so rude to people. Everyone was on pins and needles when she worked, and everyone relaxed when she didn't. I wish Faye had learned from Joan."

Which is to say, Dunaway's behavior was so bad that she needed to learn manners from the bipolar, child-abusing actress whom she was portraying. Yikes. Doesn't get more damning than that.

No wait, it does!

Expressing how Dunaway "has no humor in her life," Ald went on to recall how the noted actress shut down production for an entire week and also "wanted a producer credit for her boyfriend Terry O'Neill, even though he had nothing to do with the film's production."

Over the years, Dunaway has made an odd, completely vain decision to eschew Mommie Dearest, which has not only become a cult classic but also an amazing film on its own. Granted, some of the dialogue is stilted and affected, but the entire production -- from Crawford carrying a plate of meat down an art deco staircase to her chilling rant in the Pepsi Co. boardroom -- is genius.

You can hear the Academy Award-winning actress's disdain for the film, among other things, in this infamous voicemail rant. Remember, journalists, she's not interested in "dilly-dallying" over Mommie Dearest. "I don't want to even discuss it in my interview," she will scream at you.

Mommie Dearest, with guest star Rutanya Alda (Carol Ann!), will be screened Saturday, May 11, 7:30 p.m. at the Castro Theatre (429 Castro), SF. Tickets are $15.

A heavy allegation has emerged after Wednesday morning's officer-involved shooting of a man who allegedly stabbed a colleague at the TCHO chocolate factory. An estimated 30 minutes after the incident, a video was uploaded that includes an eyewitness testimony alleging that the SFPD shot the suspect after putting him in handcuffs.

After videographer sf99er (who also features a slew of Occupy-related footage on his YouTube account, so: major grain of salt) asks the gathering crowd what happened at the crime scene, an eyewitness responds, "The police shot somebody. In the chest, twice...They said that the man had a gun or something but he didn't. He was just a civilian." He went on to add, "They had him in cuffs. And they shot him. Twice."

After the brief interview, the videographer goes over to police officers to ask what happened. Officers refused to respond.

A second video was uploaded a short time later. This time another witness is interviewed who says that "a female officer with fucking short blonde hair" fired at the suspect while he was handcuffed.

The unidentified suspect was taken to SF General Hospital where he later died. None of the eyewitness testimony has yet to be/will be confirmed. However, as noted on the official SFPD press release detailing the incident:

An officer confronted the suspect at Washington and Davis Streets. The suspect took his hand out of his pocket, holding the box cutter. When the suspect was ordered to drop the weapon, he lunged at the officer. The officer discharged her firearm several times.

The suspect fell face down on the pavement and the officer handcuffed him. When she turned the suspect over, the officer discovered that he had been struck by gunfire in the torso area. The officer immediately requested EMS to the scene, removed the handcuffs, and began to render aid. Paramedics arrived and transported the suspect to SFGH, where he died from his injuries.

Rumor has it that Lady Gaga might be interested in buying a vineyard in Sonoma. SFist scribe and Grub Street editor Jay Barmann notes, "Following on rumors that Lady Gaga was house-hunting around Sonoma last week — and was also spotted eating at Girl + the Fig, Nick's Cove, and the French Laundry — we now hear from a source close to young Stephanie that she's contemplating buying a vineyard as an investment!"

Gaga, it seems, spent time up north in February and, oh look!, here's a picture of her with some fans in Sonoma. This isn't the first time she's been enamored with the Bay Area's gastronomic scene. Why, in 2010 she was spotted swallowing sausages at Rosamunde in the Mission District.

Yuppie-hipster reduction sauce Dolores Park was filled to the rim with skin this weekend after warm temperatures brought out all kinds of denizens to the park—namely, those who loudly prefer bacon and those who loudly prefer seitan. Of the former control group, Facebook founder Mr. Mark Zuckerberg was found sunning his buns in the city's most popular park on Sunday—or so says Twitter user Jacob Sempler. Behold:

He was even spotted walking on 29th Street. Exciting stuff. See, the Mission really is the new Valencia Street!

Meanwhile, MySpace founder Tom Anderson, who, sadly, was never given the David Fincher treatment, was on a boat in Honolulu. Meh.
