• Gothamist believed that a writer who wanted pre-gentrified gritty New York and ended up getting beaten up during a mugging learned his lesson.

Just as we were shutting down our computer at work circa 5:03, we turned around to find a (non-homeless appearing) man urinating behind a vehicle parked at the Olivet University Student Union on Lapu Lapu. Nice. We had no idea that seemingly "normal," well-dressed men feel that it is appropriate to pee in public à la Adam Sandler in Big Daddy. For shame, public urinator! We know this part of SOMA isn't exactly Seacliff, but we are still entitled to some pee-free walls. Aren't we?

This week we go a little mental.

The problem in seeing Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the A.C.T. is that it was a very famous movie with a very famous cast that became even more famous as a result of starring in that very famous movie. No matter how hard you try, you can't but help compare the not-so-famous production and not-nearly-as-famous actors with the one's you saw in the movie. Luckily, this wasn't a problem for us as we have never actually seen the movie (yeah, we know).
