Oh joy. President Obama plans on repealing that childish "don't ask, don't tell" policy that has prevented lesbians and straight-acting/-appearing queer men from serving openly in the U.S. military. "Don't ask don't tell"s genius, enacted by the Clinton administration, lies within the idea that military folk should censor answers or declarations of their sexuality. And who's to blame for this jarring acceptance of homosexuality within the military? Will & Grace, claimed sociologist Melissa Embser-Herbert, author of The U.S. Military's 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Policy: A Reference Handbook. "It's the Will and Grace generation," she told the Chronicle. "They've grown up seeing gay people on TV and having friends in 10th-grade come out."

Where to Watch Tonight's Debate

Hey, the debate is back on tonight!
More importantly, Biden is a Scorpio and Obama is a Leo.
Mr. Biden is the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and is familiar with foreign leaders and diplomats around the world.
Neither you nor we were invited. Alas.

According to Leah Garchik:

In the Haight, stencils of Barack Obama's smiling face are decorating the sidewalk. But in real life, he is turning up in more lucrative venues: The candidate will be around here on April 6, at a series of events that includes three $2,300-a-head maximum-strength fundraisers: Sara and Sohaib Abbasi are throwing a luncheon in Atherton; he'll zip up to Nancy and Bob Farese's house in Kentfield in mid-afternoon; and proceed from there to Ann and Gordon Getty's in San Francisco.

Fortunately, controversial photog Zombietime was there to catch all of the action happening outside the Getty manse.
