Advertising on SFist
SFist is a website about San Francisco and everything that happens in and around it. That means news and events, restaurants and bars, happenings and goings-on. We exploded out of the gate when we launched in the summer of 2004, and our readership has only expanded. Within 6 months of our launch, we were up to 30,000 visitors each week, and the numbers continue to grow. SFist focuses on the Bay Area, so our readers are strongly affiliated with the Bay Area and eager to support local retailers.
We offer three different page positions for ads.

*CPM means cost for 1000 impressions (viewings) of an ad. So if you purchase 100,000 impressions of an ad on SFist at a $8CPM, the cost will be $800.

Format and File Size:
Ads should be saved as GIF or JPG and should be no more than 30k.
SFist can also help you arrange the design of your ad. We know great local designers who would be eager to help you create an effective ad.
Purchasing terms:
- Payment is made via credit card over Paypal, or money order sent via mail, and full payment for all purchases must be made in advance.
- All advertising must be approved by our publisher, Gothamist. Please note that Gothamist does not run pop-ups, pop-unders, layer ads that block viewing of the page, ads with sound, or ads for or featuring objectionable content. Thanks for understanding!
