Day Around The Bay

no_free_coffee.jpg--Gavin Newsom had another Project Homeless Connect event. Reader Elihuh2001 sends along this picture, along with the note that Gavin refused the free coffee provided, in favor of a more corporate flair.

--A Pirates of the Caribbean ship sails through Oakland.

--San Francisco comic artist Justin Hall gives a superhero lecture at ToonFetish, a conference in Hollywood which SFist MattyMatt assures us is about exactly what it sounds like it's about.

--Gay bomb, gay bomb, you're our gay bomb.

--The SFPD cops in the allegedly-racist video flap have sued Gavin Newsom (for libel? we can't tell from this article.) Their lawyer says he'll ask Gavin whether his drinking problems impaired his judgment. Isn't the parade of girlfriends enough to answer that question?

--Someone in the New York Times says the music was better in LA during the Summer of Love.

--No one knows what's going on with Halloween this year.

--A drunk driver going 120 mph in his 'vette hit someone on the Bay Bridge.

Funny the New York Times critic mentions Buffalo Springfield - For What's it's Worth.

I bet he doesn't know that song is from two Moby Grape songs, and Moby Grape is from here

Stephen Stills ""Hey man, we just cut this song, and when we were done we realized it was two of your songs stuck together." And ("For What It's Worth") was a combination of those two: "Stop" and "Murder In My Heart For The Judge." And "Mr. Soul" was "Fall On You" put in E instead of A with a little bit of "Satisfaction" added to the lick"

Isn't it about time for another useless post about MUNI?

Say, how about linking to today's (Sunday) cover story about how MUNI sucks? That's news, right?

And we can learn for the umpteenth time that unreliability is a problem for MUNI. What a great topic for a Sunday!!!

I think we need some fancy Twitter/Web 2.0/Facebook/blah blah blah interface so that we can provide feedback on how MUNI can improve! Because they haven't received any feedback for the past several decades and they're totally clueless about what's wrong. Yeah, great idea!!!!

And SFist can lead the media in building a brighter future for MUNI! Go team, go!!!

Yes, the same MUNI who cannot provide service on the same level as Tokyo, Geneva, or even little ol' Unitrans (student-run bus service in Davis, California).

Yes, let's make this the *lead* post for Sunday's SFist!!! It'll change the world!

Ahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

What does it mean when Mike Ege a.k.a. Able Dart, who is a short, obese, bald, beady-eyed, mean gay white man complains about the characteristics of naked cyclists?

The fact that such pathetic characters lament the missed opportunity to ogle women probably contributes to why so few ride.

Perhaps Mike hates himself as much as he hates people who share undesirable physical features with him yet are comfortable with their bodies in a way that he will never, ever be.

And that discomfort with self fuels his reactionary rampages directed at others.

I suppose one reason I get annoyed by such flaunting of ugly male flesh is that, frankly, I do prefer to see females.

Trying to impugn someone by calling then gay isn't very Progressive, is it?

I hope that, at least, you wore sunscreen.
