Oh man -- first the Arlene lawsuit, now this! It's been a fascinating news-dump Friday, hasn't it?
Details are few, but check out this quote in the Chron: "'The FBI executed sealed search warrants involving potentially federal criminal allegations,' said FBI spokeswoman Patty Hansen." Sealed warrants?! POTENTIALLY FEDERAL?! PATTY HANSEN?!
Let the wild speculation commence!
THRILLING UPDATE! An eyewitness on the scene reports hearing Bevan Dufty say, "send that cute FBI agent to my office if he returns." Oh you saucy thing.

Daaaaamn!
I guess The Mayors telephone has been ring off the the hook with butt suckers.Yogo this may be your chance.
So much for one of the few voices of fiscal responsibility on the Board of SuperDupers.
Patty Hansen?!! Seventeen magazine supermodel of the 70's? Mrs. Keith Richards? FBI spokeswoman? Some chicks get all the luck.
Damn! Where are the pix of this "cute FBI agent"??
C'mon, SFist... what are we paying you for anyway?? We want pictures. Preferably shirtless.
survivor:
Check out the video from KPIX (cbs5.com) and take your pick. There's more than a few agents, at least one for each day of the week!

How does Jew get investigated before Sandoval, who may as well walk around with sacks with dollar signs on it? FBI began a look at Daly a few years back but nothing came of it. Yet.
who will replace jew when he finally resigns?
The lede is totally buried in this story. The neighbor of Jew's house in the Sunset says the house has been vacant for two years. The logical conclusion is that Jew lives in his Burlingame home. Is it proper to have a district supervisor who doesn't live in his district?
Innocent until proven guilty ... maybe guilty of naivete.
Well, I guess we can go ahead and stick a fork in him. He's done if the Examiner's headline is true.
It says "Sunset district representative Ed Jew asserts $20,000 confiscated from safe was for neighborhood improvements."
I weep for the fiscal health of the City.
Campers,
Actually, Ed and Andrew Lee live in an SRO room next to mine in the Tenderloin. You should hear the noises out of there at 3am.
h.
Not only does he not live in his district, but he doesn't even live in the City?? He should be subject to recall, not Jake McGoldrick.
I live in the Sunset, and am a Green, so I disagree with Ed Jew on almost all his positions. But I think it is a strange coincidence that he is being investigated by the FBI at the same time that Jake McGoldrick is facing a recall. Both of these supervisors have been a thorn in the side of Mayor Gavin Newson -- one from the left and one from the right. If both of them were recalled, Gavin could appoint his own people to replace them, giving him a veto-proof Board of Supervisors.
*prays for a veto-proof Board of Supervisors*
